Motheo TVET College is one of four public TVET colleges in the Free State, serving communities within the Motheo and Xhariep Districts. Led by Principal Prof. Dipiloane Phutsisi, who also serves as the President of the South African Public Colleges Organization (SACPO), the college has flourished under her leadership since 2013. Prof. Phutsisi’s vision for the institution is clear: to develop a skilled and capable workforce that meets the demands of the evolving economy. With a focus on preserving its legacy while building for the future, Motheo TVET College continues to make significant strides in education and training.
The college operates a Central Office and manages nine campuses, including Bloemfontein, Hillside View, Thaba Nchu, National Artisan Development Academy, Plot 32, Botshabelo, Koffiefontein, Zastron, and the Centre for Entrepreneurship and Rapid Incubator (CfE and RI).
Motheo TVET College actively collaborates with various Sector Education and Training Authorities (SETAs) such as SERVICES SETA, MERSETA, CHIETA, CETA, LGSETA, and W&RSETA, among others.
The college recently formalized an agreement with the MICT SETA to train and deploy students as technicians, equipping them with essential skills to establish and maintain computer labs. This partnership underscores the institution’s commitment to bridging skills gaps and empowering students with hands-on, industry-relevant training.
