Founded in 2022 with a focus on providing technical and skills training, Gert Sibande TVET College has rapidly grown to include six campuses across the towns of Balfour, Ermelo, Evander, Glenmore, Perdekop, and Standerton. The College offers a diverse range of programmes, including National Certificate Vocational (NCV) and NATED qualifications, with each campus providing a tailored mix to meet local needs. In addition to these academic offerings, Gert Sibande TVET College is home to a Skills Academy and a Centre for Entrepreneurship Rapid Incubator, with a strong ambition to become one of South Africa’s leading institutions in the TVET sector.
Aligned with the TVET sector’s vision of equipping the nation with the skills needed for employability, Gert Sibande TVET College is committed to continually assessing its Programme Quality Mix (PQM).
By ensuring that its programmes meet the needs of its stakeholders—students, employers, communities, and local municipalities—the College is dedicated to producing graduates who are well-prepared for the workforce. This approach involves a deep understanding of the specific requirements of each municipality where the campuses are situated, ensuring the College remains responsive to local employment and development demands.
